Top FMLS today

Today, my mum got an electric car. It's so quiet that we could hear the bones of my cat break as we reversed over it on the driveway. FML

Today, I saw some bubble wrap on the floor and I got really excited. When I went to pick it up, I realized that it was just plastic wrap. It was the worst part of my day. FML

Today, to prevent a fistfight at work, I had to mediate a contested debate between two coworkers on what was evidently a very touchy subject: Which is better, the orange creamsicle or the ice cream sandwich? I was the only one to get in trouble for wasting company time. FML

Today, my best friend decided to start dating my ex. We broke up yesterday. She also thinks I'm crazy because I'm upset about it. FML

Today, I reported in for my first day at work. When I walked in they asked "Who are you?" I answered "Cassie, it's my first day today" with a huge smile. They'd meant to call and offer the job to the other Cassie they interviewed. FML

I am not sure about you but I am virtually connected to my IPhone. I never miss an email, a call, or a text message that I don't want to..... Unless I have missed one from you, then I am sure my phone was dead or in my car ;)

However - I have been really struggling with the commitment to not use my phone while I am driving. I promised my husband, my mother, and my sister that I would stop doing those things while driving, and have held to my word.

In response to that I have downloaded a number of apps to help do things with voice activation. I have one email that reads me my emails, another that allows me to voice text, and now I have Evie - which helps me find a local business, call a contact, or play a song on my iphone - all from one window. This is a great feature for moms on the go or anyone really. My favorite feature for sure is to play any song off your ipod / playlist. But searching local businesses and making phone calls are also pretty helpful.

Super Bowl Recipes

Personally my favorite part of the Super Bowl is a straight up mix between the commercials and the food. Sure I like to watch the game and root for the underdog, but the truth is as a woman my focus is on the food and funny commercials. I have a couple recipes that are my personal favorites for super bowl parties or really any get-tog ethers. But you probably want to check these out as well.
Super Bowl Recipes

One of my favorite recipes is a veggie dip with pumpernickel bread. I mix sour cream, mayonnaise and one of those veggie soup recipes up real good, chill it for a while, and put it into a bowl I cut into a pumpernickel loaf. Check out this video as well.

This year I won't be home for the Super Bowl since I will be at a retreat with some friends, but I plan to whip up a couple things for my hubby while him and his brother watch the game. And I may not be able to watch the game but I can certainly check out the commercials afterwards online - and lets be hones - thats what it is all about anyhow.
